Klimt Vision

This is another book I recently
purchased. It is huge, so the pictures
are very detailed. Klimt's work has been
a constant inspiration to many designers.
I would love to see his work in real life.

Also, my work load has increased. I am
taking an Art History class and I'm super
excited for it. I will try my best to keep up
with the blog. I am also looking to take a
nice and needed vacation. Any travel tips
or suggestions would be appreciiated.

Foul Play!

I haven't been blogging much because I've been doing more drawing and reading. I recently bought some sweet books from Borders with a gift card I received from my brother. I figured I'd just share one of my recent favorites.

I was at Borders on my lunch break the other day and ran into this book in the $5 box!! My heart got a little excited. Only recently did I steal a neglected Spawn comic from my brothers old boxes. I can't believe the artwork and energy put into each comic. This book is so inspiring and a great read. It has artist biographies and their art work. So good... Get it.

How To Leave Your Marc...

My friend Brian let me borrow this Marcumentary last year. I wasn't expecting it to be so personal. I spent the whole day watching it over and over. I think this is a must see for anyone interested in design or art. Love or hate Marc Jacobs, you definitely learn to appreciate the hard work and love poured into every piece created. From handbags to shoes, this film shows the creative process and constant re dos it takes to have a final, highly sought-after product. The sleepless nights fueled by coffee, cigarettes, and energy bars are most definitely worth it. Watch it.
