Confessions Of A Shoe Addict

An obvious weakness of mine is shoes. I like to buy them,
stare at them, sleep on them (Williamsburg) or just kill my
feet in them. I am the type of person who will buy a shoe whether
it fits or not. I will go through all sorts of pleasurable pain to wear
a pair of beautiful shoes.

Here are my current favorite summer sandals.

ANKLE CUFF SANDALS:

Maison Martin Margiela
Sandal Ankle Bootie
$595.00 eluxury.com
These are the sickest! Especially the knee-high
version (not pictured). I would probably
wear these all summer if I could call them mine.

But since I can't, the cuffed element lives
on for a whole lot cheaper...

HALSTON Cuff Boot Sandal
£25.00 Top Shop

C2 Canvas Wrap Sandal
$59.99 Urban Outfitters
So good. Love the leather detail!

ZIPPER ACCENTS:
Exposed zippers have been an obsession I've
had for the longest. In school, I did exposed zippers
on my whole collection. My teachers hated me for it.
Of course, most of the design teachers are stuck in 1983
and haven't seen a runway since.

Christian Louboutin
Rodita Zipper Sandal
My heart beats twice as fast
when I look at this beauty. This
is the kind of love that last a lifetime.

Matt Bernson Swain Sandal
$198.00 Urban Outfitters
I am a sucker for a chunky gold zipper.

Marc by Marc Jacobs
Zipper rosette flats
$207 & Sold Out at Net-A-Porter.com
I bought a bunch of cheap zippers from
my teacher in April and I now know exactly
how I am going to use them.

STILL FRINGING AROUND:

HACKLE-H.Leg Fringe
£25.00 Top Shop
And finally a complete rip off of
those Etro Gladiator Sandals!

FLAVIO Fringe Sandal
£40.00 Top Shop
And here is the best way to do
the fringe thing this summer.

So This Is Love...

I am super in love with these designs. The styling
is perfect. The prints are on point, killer silhouettes.
This is dripping so much substance and style I can't
even handle it. Obviously, I am extremely inspired.

Also take note, you can't see facial expressions
but body behavior says twice as much.

In other news, I have a dope photoshoot this weekend.
I pulled some clothes from Barney's Co-Op! It is going to
be so hot. Hot like Houston pavements, lava or Prada.

Rachel Roy | Resort 2008

These were my favorite pieces from this
collection. These pieces were well thought out
and I especially dig the cloudy watercolor effect on
them. It's not over done or on trend. It is just pretty
and classic.

Absolute favorite

Finally

Stuff I made.
I am not a seamstress so I'm trying to
focus more on sketching and styling.
I tend to ignore the blog when I'm glued
to my sewing machine.

White Cotton Pique

Linen wrinkles easily so I should have
pressed these instead of steamed.

Clashing Batik

My favorite Silhouette

I later shortened this and wore it for graduation

These are so dope. They are made of linen.

Class of 2008

Christine wore this out after the show!

My focus in life right now will be creating
and saving money to move to NY ASAP.

This has always been one of my favorite songs. Enjoy.

My camera broke and I didn't get many pictures from
my birthday! I will post some when I get them.
Thanks for all the birthday love, hugs, and whiskey.

Art Forms of Nature

Kunstformen der Natur is a book of lithographic
and autotype prints by German biologist Ernst Haeckel.
Here are some inspirational images from it.

This is also a reminder for me to get this book.

Don't forget to come to this Gemini Take Over:

Everyone Needs A Pucci

Emilio Pucci Ballerina Flats
eluxury.com $260

Only lately have I fallen in love
with Pucci prints. I used to hate them
because of all the horrible knock offs
that seemed to cheapen the idea. But
these are sick and seem to be the perfect
walking shoe. The thought of them fitting
perfectly into my oversized envelope clutch
makes me need them that much more.

Just a random Wikipedia fact:
Marilyn Monroe was buried in an Emilio Pucci dress.

Dream On

See by Chloe
brownsfashion.com
Balenciaga Floral Clutch
brownsfashion.com
Pierre Hardy Sandal
stylefinder.com
Glitzy Glitzy Faux Rhinestone Earrings
tias.com
I don't necessarily know what I would wear this to
but it is a pretty amazing outfit. Of course, every piece
used is a statement piece and shouldn't be combined
unless you are like me and don't care.
A girl can dream, can't she?
