Klimt Vision

This is another book I recently
purchased. It is huge, so the pictures
are very detailed. Klimt's work has been
a constant inspiration to many designers.
I would love to see his work in real life.
One day...

Gustav Klimt: 1862-1918
By Rachel Barnes

Also, my work load has increased. I am
taking an Art History class and I'm super
excited for it. I will try my best to keep up
with the blog. I am also looking to take a
nice and needed vacation. Any travel tips
or suggestions would be appreciiated.

Foul Play!

I haven't been blogging much because I've been doing more drawing and reading. I recently bought some sweet books from Borders with a gift card I received from my brother. I figured I'd just share one of my recent favorites.

I was at Borders on my lunch break the other day and ran into this book in the $5 box!! My heart got a little excited. Only recently did I steal a neglected Spawn comic from my brothers old boxes. I can't believe the artwork and energy put into each comic. This book is so inspiring and a great read. It has artist biographies and their art work. So good... Get it.

How To Leave Your Marc...

My friend Brian let me borrow this Marcumentary last year. I wasn't expecting it to be so personal. I spent the whole day watching it over and over. I think this is a must see for anyone interested in design or art. Love or hate Marc Jacobs, you definitely learn to appreciate the hard work and love poured into every piece created. From handbags to shoes, this film shows the creative process and constant re dos it takes to have a final, highly sought-after product. The sleepless nights fueled by coffee, cigarettes, and energy bars are most definitely worth it. Watch it.

Ho Ho Ho!

I'm going to miss Sparks...

but at least next time I wear
orange lipstick people won't
think it's to disguise a night of
heavy Sparks drinking.

Also, I have been wanting this
skirt for weeks. You can detach
the petticoat so it can be very
dramatic or just really short and
lacey. Merry Christmas to me!

I hope everyone is having a great holiday...
Merry Christmas and What is going on for
New years???

Ring My Bell

Naturally, the thought of a bell bottom jean might cause one to cringe or bring to mind John Travolta in all of his Saturday Night Fever glory. Although, you must admit, he looks pretty bad ass in this picture.

Though, I have a confession, I just ordered a pair of reissued Levi's from 1974. And yes, they are bell shaped which means I will be ringing (pun intended) in the new year looking real fly.
How will I be wearing them? I plan on using silks, lace, and more modern cuts/fabrics. They will be less Jackson 5 and more Burberry Prorsum Fall 2008. Next level.

Texas "Snow"

More Jassy Than Jazzy

I love my Jas M.B. bag! Made with Italian leather and handcrafted in London, this isn't a bag you want but a bag you need. It doesn't steal the show, it enhances it.

Currently, it holds:
-make up bag
-vintage "passeport" holder I use as a wallet
-a book about Gem Stones
-fingerless gloves I have yet to use
Love.

The Thunder, Perfect Mind

This is a shortened version of Jordan Scott's 2005 film which stars
supermodel Daria Werbowy moving through various scenes in Berlin.
This is a dope advertisement for the launch of the first ever Prada perfume.
I'm sold,  how about you?

Walk It Out

It's closer to the new year and I have
been trying to figure out my top three
Resolutions.

So far:
1. Save Money
2. More Work Outs
3. Less Caffeine and Whiskey

I have been debating on a bike or roller blades...
maybe I'll get both... Or maybe I'll just get this instead.

Instant Elegance

Your brand new leopard-skin pill-box hat...

I've always wanted a leopard cocktail
hat and here it is. I would spice it up
with the addition of feathers and/or
brooches. Get on that fab level by pairing
this with anything casual to glam haute.
It's enough to make Bob Dylan swoon.
