I randomly checked the Old Navy site and was surprised to find some
really cute things. We can thank Old Navy's new creative director,
Todd Oldham, for the sophisticated and fresh styles offered.
The following items can translate from casual work attire to fun party outfits.
Wrap-Front Shirts $24.50
This shirt is universally flattering for all figures. The deep V elongates
the neck and body giving the illusion of height especially when paired
with a great pair of heels.
Double-Ruffle Tops $26.50
This blush colored top is very sophisticated. You should not accessorize the neck
given that there is so much detail already going on. I would suggest a bold
bracelet or plenty of bangles.
Trapeze Shift Dress $19.75
You can't go wrong with a little black dress especially when it is a classic silhouette
such as this trapeze dress. This dress will work year round depending on how you
accessorize. There are countless ways to accessorize whether you use jewelry, scarves
or a killer pair of heels.

Dream Boot
Balenciaga Fall 2006
On the Runway:
On an Olsen:
On me?:
Sam Edelman™ Strapped bootie
Victoria's Secret
$99.99
I love the silhouette and I feel anything Balenciaga becomes a classic.
I am 5'2'' and if I had these shoes I would be 5' 7''. What more can I say?
Okay, I know some of you might think they are kind of ridiculous but
if I cared about what everyone thought then I'd be wearing Uggs, v-necks
and no pants.

P.S. I do love me some V-necks but more so with those boots!

Proenza Schouler's Inspiration Board - Spring 2008
One of my favorite collections for Spring was by Proenza Schouler. Everything about it
was amazing. You can imagine my excitement when I found this in-depth article
about what inspired the collection.
I am a sucker for details and I am definitely inspired by this choice of prints. The collection
began with a Louise Bourgeois art book found during L.A. fashion week. We've seen the
safari look done plenty of times but they kept it updated with their choice of fabrics, colors
and shape. The silhouette introduced was a modern play on a 1940's Christian Dior shape.
I have to show my collection in May so I found seeing part of the design process
extremely helpful. Inspiration has no set time or place so I always keep a small notebook
for ideas. The end result is obviously worth all the effort and thought process invested.

2. Costa Rica
3. Christian Dior New Look
4. OUT OF AFRICA
5. FEATHERS AND THE ARMORY
6. JAPANESE FISHERMAN KIMONOS

Tip of the Glove
Patricia Field Leather Finger Tip Gloves $32.00
I want these awfully bad... They come in different colors
but I'm curious to see how the nude would look.
